Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The provider issue created for intervention experiences a higher inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to sassa all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
